Terry Kovel describes various pressed glass patterns. Pressed glass was first made in the United States in the 1820s after the invention of glass pressing machines. For more information on pressed glass, go to its section on the online price guide.

#1 Patter/Pressed GlassAlgood001 2013-07-19 09:31
I have 8 different sets of pattern glass or pressed glass I purchased from my cousin's estate in the late 90's. (He collected from the early 1940's until his death). I would like to determine the correct names and possible values now that I am a senior planning my estate.

Each set consists of a covered butter dish, a spoon holder, a creamer and a sugar dish.

The names are (I think):

Crow Foot/Turkey Track

Ruffled Edge Hobnail- white opalescent
(Nor thwood??

Royal Crystal (Atlanta?)

Lus ter Rose (Marigold-Carme l)

St ar Band/Bosworth

Some of these sets had the names on the boxes they were stored in, but I do not
know if they are accurate names or not.

Where can I go, or how do I find out the names and approximate values?

I am not a collector. I only have them because of the estate purchase. I am in a rural area so there is no place I have found that can help me.

Any suggestion, pointers, advice, etc. that you have would be most appreciated.

T hank you.
