United States Glass Company
In 1891, fifteen Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia glass factories consolidated as the United States Glass Company to improve marketing efforts and, by sharing, to reduce the expense of fuel and glass molds. Each factory was assigned a letter for identification, and orders were handled through a central office in Pittsburgh.
