Walnut and Oak Clocks
Elaborately cased clocks were offered in catalogs and stores as “black walnut” clocks or “embossed oak” clocks. All sorts of curves, scrolls, lines, finials, pillars, and ornamentation were used. The more elaborate the clock, the better it sold.
