Outsider Art

There are paintings, folk art, pottery and other things made by self-trained artists in the past, and outsider art, the work of self-trained artists since about 1930. The outsider pieces include wooden artist mannequins used to show proportions of the human body. A 19th century French artist’s model of a horse sold for $9,375. But many others in the sale did not sell.
