Vintage eyeglasses have been a fashion statement for years, with rock stars and fashionistas wearing big glasses with large and heavy frames. There are dealers who sell vintage eyewear online, and London and other big cities have stores that carry vintage frames. The TV actors in Mad Men wear thick black plastic frames in ’60s styles. Other popular vintage looks are cat-eye frames from the 1950s, round frames from the Great Gatsby era and vintage designer frames by Gucci, Missoni and even Ray-Ban.
