Vampires Got You Down?

Our 2017 Kovels’ Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide has an 1892 kit that sold for $1,190. An ad in The Wall Street Journal a few days before Halloween was selling a kit with 12 necessary items in a box priced $14,850. There was a pistol with silver bullets; a hypodermic needle and serum made of garlic, honey and holy water to keep vampires away; a candle; crucifix; bullet mold; mirror; and of course, a hammer and a stake.
