The Banana Man

We interviewed “The Banana Man” in California during filming one of our HGTV shows. He dressed in a yellow suit with tails, passed out banana stickers, and owned a “store” filled with his not-for-sale collection. He has since sold his collection, but now there is a new banana man, also in California, named Fred Garbutt. He wears yellow shorts and a banana-print shirt. His International Banana Museum in North Shore, Calif., displays banana-shaped dolls, pens, dishes, etc., and sells banana oil suntan lotion and other banana oil products.
