Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloons

Some of the large balloons in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade suggest that these characters have stuck around and remain popular with kids and collectors: Hello Kitty (1974), Kool-Aid Man (the powdered drink was introduced in 1927), Mr. Peanut (1916), and Poppin’ Fresh, also known as the Pillsbury Doughboy (1965).
