The infamous 73-year old shoe designer Stuart Weitzman revealed he is the anonymous buyer of the only remaining 1856 One-Cent Magenta stamp from British Guiana. He purchased it last year for $9.5 million. His bid marked the highest price ever paid for a stamp at auction. The tiny red eight-sided stamp pictures a schooner and will be displayed at the National Postal Museum in Washington for the next two and a half years.
