Go to auctions on a cloudy day in winter to buy for low prices. A study at a university in Israel examined the effect of the environment on art auction prices in England from 1756 to 1909. They found that art prices increased up to about 50 cents for each additional one minute of daylight. Prices were also influenced by the length of daylight from dawn to dusk. Maybe the increases were caused by larger crowds at sales in pleasant weather. Of course, none of the pre-1910 auctions studied were online.
