Old Toilet Exhibit

Ever know anyone who collects old toilets? An exhibition at the Trenton (N.J.) City Museum is showing the history of the Maddux Pottery Cos. The firm was the first in the United States to make sanitary ware (toilets), and the display shows some early Maddux toilets as well as its dinnerware and decorative pieces. Various Maddux firms made plumbing fixtures and domestic and commercial china. They even decorated English dinnerware blanks to sell here. The exhibit is open until June 15, 2014.
