Loetz Vase

A $200 to $300 estimate turned into a $2,360 bid for a Loetz Octopus vase at a Chester, New York, auction. A brown and gilt decoration swirls around the glass bowl and looks somewhat like an octopus. The expensive glass was originally known as Federzeichnang and was popular about 1895.
