ETCetera, published by the Early Typewriter Collectors Association, is filled with informative, well-researched articles as well as club news. A recent issue reminded readers that collectors want old machines from other countries as well as those made in the United States. It featured the Halda typewriter, made in Sweden from 1902 to 1914. Chances are you don’t own a rarity like the Halda, but you may have a pre-1950 typewriter that could be sold to a collector. Industrial antiques are becoming more popular and more expensive. Remember: If it moves and makes noise, it’s a future collectible.
