Cast Iron, Enameled Iron and Copper Pots Back in Style

Vintage cast iron skillets, lined copper pots and enameled iron deep pots are back in style. Fifty-seven percent of men say they do all or most of the cooking at home. Cast iron pans are preferred because they cook at a higher heat and are “masculine.” Iron pots and skillets are almost indestructible. Old Griswold and Wagner are collectors most wanted brands. They sell for reasonable prices at flea markets, very low prices at house sales. Clean them with dish soap and water but don’t scour and remove the “seasoning” left from hours of cooking.
