Car Collections

Maybe one of the TV decorating shows could feature the best special car-collection rooms in private homes. We know we would enjoy seeing a car collector’s garage–tiled floor, built-in storage walls, car lifts, even old gas pumps. There are garage designers who create “theme” garages to hold expensive collections. Football locker rooms, gambling casinos, even 1920s décor are inspirations (Financial Times, Feb. 11-12, 2012). Most of us can’t afford a designer garage, but we can all be inspired by good ideas.
