Buying Antiques on a Layaway Plan

Can you buy an antique on the layaway plan? It doesn’t hurt to ask the dealer. Often a dealer will handle layaway the same way a department store does at Christmastime. Leave a deposit and the antique, pay a little each week or month, and get your piece the day of your last payment. If you’re a regular customer, you may not be charged interest.
