Bottle collectors interested in canning jars and fruit jars need The Guide to Collecting Fruit Jars, Vol. 19, 2015. The first fruit jar price book was published in 1969. It listed 1,035 bottles, each numbered. The numbering system has continued, and in the 380 pages of the 2015 book, the number of identified bottles tops 120,000. This year’s Fruit Jar Annual includes prices, photographs, logos, closures, patent information and more. Cost: $55 plus $5 shipping. Write to Jerry McCann, 5003 W. Berwyn, Chicago, IL 60630.
