A reader wants everyone to know what she’s learned: I unfortunately put my Fostoria salad plates in my dishwasher. Now they are foggy. She’d like to restore them to clear, but there is no way. Dishwasher detergent is too abrasive for many kinds of glassware. The best way to care for antique and collectible glass is to wash it by hand with dishwashing liquid.
