Stretch Out Discussions are held periodically to provide education and learning opportunities to all who are interested in learning about American Iridescent stretch glass. The Discussions are conducted via a Zoom meeting with photos of the stretch glass being discussed available at www.stretchglasssociety.org. Discussions are led by stretch glass experts and researchers including Cal Hackeman, Kitty & Russell Umbraco, Dave Shetlar, Sarah Plummer and others. This discussion will focus on Rare, Unusual Items and One-of-a Kind Stretch Glass. The discussion will begin promptly at 8pm Eastern time. We look forward to sharing insights with you on these unique rarities.

On September 8th, the Stretch Out Discussion will be continuing the Show and Tell format – members and guests of The Stretch Glass Society will ‘Show and Tell’ about wisteria, purple and amethyst stretch glass. We expect a number of stretch glass enthusiasts will be sharing during the discussion about their favorite purple stretch glass. Eight of the nine stretch glass companies made purple stretch glass. The Fenton and Diamond companies made several shades of it in the late period. We invite your members to join us for an educational and fun Discussion. Our experts will be on hand to comment on the glass and assist with ID. Even though the Discussion will be led by those who Zoom in to share their stretch glass, a photo album featuring a number of purple stretch glass items will be available on the Stretch Glass Society website www.stretchglasssociety.org.
