Q: I found this little creamer in a thrift store. Can you help me identify it? It looks old and feels nice in the hand. The mark on the bottom is “62” within a circle.

A: This little creamer was made by Watt Pottery, which was in business in Crooksville, Ohio, from 1922 until 1965. The pattern, Dutch Tulip, was originally called Pennsylvania Dutch. It was first made in 1956 and features stylized tulips and leaves. Watt made another pattern called Tulip, with more realistic blossoms and leaves, in the 1960s The number on the bottom of the creamer is the shape number. Prices for Watt pottery have dropped. Your creamer sold for $250 in 1994 but today it retails for about $150 if perfect.
