Q: I have what I believe to be an amber Bohemian glass decanter and one glass (all that’s survived the years). I can’t locate any maker’s marks on the set. My father sent this back from Germany during World War II for my mother. I’m looking for replacement glasses as this set is of sentimental value to me. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

A: Bohemian glass was made during the Victorian era. The ornate overlay of flashed glass was popular in the United States beginning in the 1890s. Collectors prefer glass made from 1875 to 1900. It is probably impossible to find an exact match to your decanter, but you might be able to find something with a similar color and floral design. Look for Bohemian glass at local antiques stores and check listings for Bohemian glass online.
