Q: This antique fan has been in my family for years. The label on the base says “Westinghouse, A.C. Motor” and lists the style as 315745A. Can you give me any information and value?

A: Westinghouse introduced this style fan in 1923. It had four Micarta blades. Westinghouse developed Micarta, a laminate made of fabric and paper and phenolic resin, about 1910. Your fan is missing the blades. You can try to buy replacement blades, or sell your fan for parts, but prices for parts are under $50.
