Q: When my father owned an auto service station in the late 1920s and ’30s, he sold a “Vehicle Signaling Device” for mounting on the back window of a car. This tin lithograph policeman’s arms rise up when the car slows down or comes to a stop as a warning to the car behind to slow down. It’s 8 1/2 inches high and is marked “Patent No. 163698.” What is the value?
