Q: I’m hoping you can help me identify a ceramic mug I bought recently at an estate sale. It’s glazed white with small crackling in the glaze. The words “The Universities, Toilet Club, 17 Coventry Street, 6 Glasshouse Street” are printed in black and the bottom is stamped “Made in England.” It’s 6 inches high and 4 inches wide at the bottom. Is this a real piece from the mid to late 1800s or a modern replica?
