Silver Box
Q: I bought this small metal box that’s shaped like a book on legs at an antiques shop. It appears to have marble on the inside. On the bottom is the letter “K” with an 8 on the left and maybe a “C” on the right (I can’t tell). What was the box for? Is it silver plate? Should I clean it? I paid $2 for it.
