Q: I have a very early teapot, sugar and creamer that belonged to my 5th great grandmother, born in 1701. Grandmother wrote on a letter inside, “This is early Wedgewood. It is from David Dunderdale’s Pottery, Castleford, Yorkshire, England. It is white unglazed stoneware made of kaolin clay, which is practically white. A set like this is in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.” She also wrote the name of the original owner (her 3rd great grandmother). The set is white with dark blue trim and has figures and designs from the American Revolution embossed on all sides. There are no marks on the bottom.
