The Manuscript Society is the oldest existing society in the United States for collectors of autographs and manuscripts. The society was formed in 1948 and now has members throughout the world. Members include individuals, from collectors to archivists to dealers, and institutions like auction houses, historical associations, and universities. Benefits of membership include subscription to the society's quarterly journal, newsletter, and monthly e-digest; access to online archives and discussion forums; annual meetings; regional gatherings; and opportunities for research grants.
