Roy Rogers

Roy Rogers was born in 1911 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His birth name was Leonard Slye. In the 1930s, he made a living as a singer; in 1935, his group started work at a Los Angeles radio station. He appeared in his first movie in 1937. He began using the name Roy Rogers in 1938. From 1952 to 1957, he made 101 television shows. The Marriot corporation registered the Rogers name and created a chain of now-famous Roy Rogers restaurants. The other stars in the show were his wife, Dale Evans, his horse, Trigger, and his dog, Bullet. Robers died in 1998.
