Battersea

Battersea

Battersea enamels, which are enamel on copper, were made in the Battersea district of London from about 1750 to 1756. Many similar enamels are mistakenly called Battersea. Susan Benjamin and the Marshall family revived the style of the Battersea enamel boxes in the 1960s. It is continued today by Bilston & Battersea Enamels.
