Carlton Ware

Carlton Ware

Carlton ware was made at the Carlton Works of Stoke-on-Trent, England, beginning about 1890. The firm traded as Wiltshaw & Robinson until 1957. It was renamed Carlton Ware Ltd. in 1958. The company was bought and sold several times. Production stopped in 1992. Frank Salmon bought the trademark, molds, and pattern books in 1997. Production was outsourced to other potteries. Carlton Ware production ceased by 2016. For more information, explore our identification guides for British pottery and porcelain
