Sheet Music

Sheet Music

Sheet music from the past centuries is now collected. The favorites are examples with covers featuring artistic or historic pictures. Early sheet music covers were lithographed, but by the 1900s photographic reproductions were used. Although a few photos were used by the early 1900s, photographs were not often used on sheet music until the late 1920s. The early sheet music was larger than more recent sheets, and you must watch out for examples that were trimmed to fit in a twentieth-century piano bench.
