Sandwich Glass

Sandwich Glass

Sandwich glass is any of the myriad types of glass made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works in Sandwich, Massachusetts, between 1825 and 1888. It is often very difficult to be sure whether a piece was really made at the Sandwich factory because so many types were made there and similar pieces were made at other glass factories. Many of the Sandwich glass designs copied English and Irish cut glass patterns. Additional pieces may be listed under Pressed Glass and in related categories.
