Eskimo

Tools date the Eskimo culture to be 18,000 years old in Siberia and 12,000 years old in Alaska. Eskimo artifacts of all types are collected. Carvings of whale or walrus teeth are listed under Scrimshaw. Baskets are in the Basket category. All other types of Eskimo art are listed here. In Canada and some other areas, the term Inuit is used instead of Eskimo. It is illegal to sell some whale parts that are used to made decorative items. The law has changed several times, so check the legality before you buy or sell.
