Is there a difference in the value of an item if it is marked”Made in Japan” vs. just “Japan”. I have a carafe and creamer on a tray with an embossed leaf design. The color of the items is cream colored.
From what I understand Japan is supposed to be older then made in Japan but you can’t go by that because they got lazy or sloppy and a lot it got shipped over here even using the name Nippon also. Sometimes its the color of the word Japan, Red , black or blue, and even pale green can help in dating a peice.
