This 4″ “pitcher” has been in family forever; the long handle and hammered details are a bit unusual and I don’t know what metal it is.  No makers mark I can see.  Thanks for help!  bj

Most likely tin over a base metal ! Tin was commonly used for containers that held food ! It could be an individual creamer or syrup pitcher ! Can only guess because they had many items for specific foods !
