Benedict copper box 9 Months ago
I have a copper "box" approx. 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" and 2-1/2" tall. Marked Benedict on bottom. Has the bee in a diamond with letter "B" on each side. Nothing else, no date or numbering of the piece. The lid has a sphinx on it. The front of the "box" has an egyptian looking woman with wings. The lid is no longer attached, and it has a small crack on the back of the box. I was told that it use to have a lining inside. If so, it is no longer there either. Do you have any ideas what this could be? When was it made? and Is it worth anything?

I haven't been able to find out any info on this piece and would appreciate anything you know!

Re:Metal filegree bowl with turned wood bottom 9 Months ago
Does anyone no what this is. Metal filigree bowl, turned wood bottom, about 5 inches in diameter,2 3/4 inches deep. This was my Mother's but I believe she had it for a long time. Looks like brass but don't really know anything about what the metal is. monogramed on the front possibly "JKH" IMG

Help please! 9 Months ago
First off, my apologies in advance if this turns out to be nothing but a piece of trash...but I'm just sort of curious. Found it using a metal detector and it appears to be brass, about 1.5 inches long...I thought it was gold but was sorely disappointed when my father said otherwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PS - the small rock does not belong with the other 3 pieces, obviously!

Brass plate/saucer with Chinese characters 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I found this plate on our farm near an old trash pile. I assume its made out of brass as it is very heavy and is not magnetic. It is about 8" in diameter and has about a 3/4" lip. There are no markings on the back. Any idea what this is or any info about it?

thanks.
