Willow |
|
|
Willow pattern has been made in England since 1780. The pattern has been copied by factories in many countries, including Germany, Japan, and the United States. It is still being made. Willow was named for a pattern that pictures a bridge, birds, willow trees, and a Chinese landscape. Most pieces are blue and white. The original Chinese Willow pattern copied and made famous by Thomas Minton did not have a bridge with the two lovers.
