Sunderland luster is a name given to a special type of pink luster made by Leeds, Newcastle, and other English firms during the nineteenth century. The luster glaze is metallic and glossy and appears to have bubbles in it. The most famous wares were made in or near Sunderland. Pink luster is often called Sunderland luster, but it was made by others too . Other pieces of luster are listed in the Luster category.
