Pisgah Forest Pisgah Forest

Pisgah Forest pottery was made in North Carolina beginning in 1926. The pottery was started by Walter B. Stephen, who had been making pottery in that location since 1914. Pisgah Forest was named Stephens Pottery from 1940 to 1941, before returning to itrs original name. The pottery continued in operation after his death in 1961. The most famous kinds of Pisgah Forest ware are the cameo type with designs made of raised glaze and the turquoise crackle glaze wares.
