Muncie Clay Products Company was established by Charles Benham in Muncie, Indiana, in 1922. The company made pottery for the florist and giftshop trade. The company closed by 1939. Pieces are marked with the name Muncie or just with a system of numbers and letters, like 1A. Muncie used matte, high, and drip glazes. In 1929 it made pottery in the Ruba Rombic shapes similar to the glass pattern made by Consolidated Glass Company.
