Posters have informed the public about news and entertainment events since ancient times. At first posters has more text than pictures, but images and graphics became increasingly important. Nineteenth-century advertising and theatrical posters and twentieth-century movie and war posters are of special interest today. The price is determined by the artist, the condition, and the rarity.
