Cut Velvet

Cut velvet is a special type of art glass, made with two layers of blown glass, that shows a raised pattern. It usually had an acid finish or a texture like velvet. It was made by many glass factories during the late Victorian years. Many of the cut velvet pieces have a diamond-quilted pattern.
