Custard Glass Custard Glass

Custard glass is a slightly yellow opaque glass. It was made in England in the 1880s and was first made in the United States in the 1890s. It has been reproduced. Many of the custard glass patterns were hand-painted or gilded and one pattern, the blue "custard" glass, is an expensive type today. Additional pieces may be found in the Cambridge, Fenton, Heisey, and Northwood categories. Ivorina Verde is known as Heisley's Custard Glass to many collectors.
