Carnival glass was an inexpensive, iridescent pressed glass made originally from about 1907 to about 1925. Carnival glass got its name because it was often given away as prizes at carnivals. More than 1,000 different patterns are known. Carnival glass is currently being reproduced. Additional pieces may be found in the Northwood category.
