Fairings |
|
|
Fairings are small souvenir china boxes and figurines that were sold at country fairs during the nineteenth century. Most were made in Germany. Reproductions of fairings are being made, especially of the famous Twelve Months after Marriage series. The work on fairings was unsophisticated, but the designs were amusing. Pieces are white or colored.
