FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CLEVELAND –  April 18, 2010 – Kovels.com, the Web’s largest free price guide for antiques and collectibles, today released its list of the most searched items in its price guide in March 2010. Occupied Japan took the top spot, a position it’s held for over a year.

The top ten list is the result of hundreds of thousands of searches in Kovels.com antiques and collectibles price guide. The list is an indicator of the popularity of certain categories of antiques and collectibles among collectors.

See what other antiques categories were popular among collectors in March 2010:

1. Occupied Japan – No Movement
2. Stove – No Movement
3. Silverplate – No Movement
4. Jewelry – No Movement
5. Furniture – Up From $8
6. Capo-di-monte – down from #5
7. Coca-Cola – No Movement
8. Copeland Spode – Down From #6
9. Bosons – No Movement
10. Rosenthal – Not On List Last Month

The top searches remained constant, though furniture moved up higher in the list. Rosenthal entered the top ten and Copeland Spode fell a few places.

People use price guides for a number of reasons, usually to determine the value of an item they own or want to purchase. If a category isn’t listed in the Top 10, it doesn’t mean it’s unpopular or that there isn’t a demand for it. Kovels.com is searched for thousands of items and these 10 categories were the most popular in March.
