Any mudman experts here? I just acquired this mudman; and the details on him are exquisite! But there are no markings. Would that mean he is pre-1890? I thought they were very rare. Any info on this piece would be greatly appreciated!!

Several years ago my husband started to collect chinese mudmen. They are all marked, some with names that are hard to make out & some that just have China etched in the mud. He could have sold them many times over but hung on to them. Some were worth hundreds. But when any thing is selling good , here comes reproductions, tons of them from China and the prices plummeted. There was some at an auction just last weekend & sold for a dollar. But maybe someone out there know's different and can help you. Good Day!
