I have this odd object, around 8" deep and 9" wide. has two holes maybe for faucet handles? and a dish maybe for soap. anyone have any ideas what it really is? it has a chunk out of one side, but otherwise would be beautiful.

it's hard to tell from seeing it from just one angle but could it be an inkwell?
