Did Sevres porcelain ever use the double L mark along with the word "Sevres"?

I am trying to determine if a piece is authentic and not a fake.

I have not been able to find a similar example with the actual Sevres name on a piece. Please let me know. Thanks

Hi, Yes they did, and sometimes inside the double L. However according to an expert author of a book I have, look for high quality on your item, also the L should be a pale blue and shaded around edges and the word Sevres should have a s at the end. Beware if it looks painted on and a bright blue. Sevres is still being made today. On older versions the word sevres is sometimes not clear. Their is one on Sevres image marks on the back of a plate. After 1891 all imports were supposed to be marked factory district or country. Hpoe this helps you.

Thank you for your help!

This item is cobalt blue on the base and has gold lettering (doesn't look under-glazed) so it is probably not an original.

Thanks again.
