I found this box while cleaning out my 100-yr-old aunt's house, and she doesn't remember what it is. It's a wooden box with a drawer, 7" x 8", and about 1 1/2" deep. It has a leather-like covering, with a paisley velor-like covering near the drawer opening, and on the front of the drawer. There is a curved metal handle that extends about 10" from the box. The handle will moved upward to a 45-degree angle, and downward to about a 10-degree angle. There are two little hooks near the curved top of the handle, but they are facing the wrong direction to hook over anything and allow the box to hang downward. I have no idea what it was used for. Help!
